There are:
- RING TOPS
- Curtains that have large metal rings in the top of the curtains (now they are the most popular).
- PINCH PLEATED
- Curtains has a series of 2 or 3 pleats together with a space between the pleats.
- PENCIL PLEATED
- Curtains has a series of pleats across the width of the curtain.
- ROD POCKETED
- Curtains has a pocket sewn across the top of the curtain with a heading above the rod of 2-3cms head.
- TAB TOP
- Curtains have a series of tabs of material sewn at the top of the curtain and placed on a rod.
- CONCEALED TAB TOP
- Curtains is where a series of material tabs is sewn to the back of the curtain at the top and placed on a rod. Looking from the front you do not see the tabs.
The lengths of the curtains come in a variety of lengths the most popular drops are 160cm and 221cm.
There are different other drops made depending on the manufacture of the curtains. The width of the drop come in a variety of widths from a single width of fabric is usually between 130cm to 150cm (has the selvage on both sides of the width of fabric). There is fabric that is continuous fabric that give you any widths of curtains, any size eg 180cm, 240cm.

- Curtains goes on either a pole set (with rings) or on a track with gliders.
- PENCIL PLEATED
- Curtains can go either a pole set or a track.

- Curtains goes on either a metal or timber pole.
Types of fabrics
- UNCOATED
- Fabric which is a fabric that has no backing on it and is light weight through to heavy weight.
- SHEER
- Fabric is a fabric that you can see through but put a visible block when you are looking through it.
- SOFT DRAPE / TRIPLE WEAVE
- Fabric is a soft draping fabric with about 80% light block out and is a good insulter for your room. It hangs in a very soft fall.
- BLOCKOUT
- Fabric a fabric with a coating applied to the back of the fabric. This coating is usually applied in three stages creating the block out to the curtains.
